Smooth rounded leaves up to 6″ long and almost as wide. The centers are green and red towards the outside. The red color becomes more dominant in winter. Each leaf, or paddle, just seems to stick out of the ground. For those who have seen live sand dollars in the ocean – it reminds me of them, except different color.
