This is meant to be an easily grown giant cultivar that produces perfectly round 6 inch spheres of rich purple florets. It grows in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Tolerates a wide range of soils and performs well in sandy soils.
This is one of the tallest (up to 4′) and longest blooming (up to 5 weeks in June/July) of the statuesque Alliums and that means it was selected for the garden of the Giants.
