This is another one where the botanist cannot leave well enough alone. There was only one Schizostylis, but they decided to merge it with Hesperantha, even though this is rhizome and Hesperantha are all corms. The argument was that this was just an adaptation to growing conditions and thus did not deserve to be separate. I am going to leave it where it is.
